What it is on the floor
Shallow bedroom closets fill up fast once winter coats and heavy knits come out. We build this open black steel rack to hold the overflow, with extendable rod ends and adjustable height settings that let long garments hang clear of the floor. The snap-lock frame goes together by hand, so taking it down between events or apartment moves stays quick.
Snap lock frame
The uprights and crossbars click into position without bolts or wrenches. You can break the whole frame down flat to slide into a car trunk or an apartment closet when moving day comes.
Extendable top rod
Pull out the side extensions when you need extra hanging space for long coats or weekend laundry. Stops at each end keep metal hangers from sliding off the rail while the frame is in motion.
Rubber locking casters
Large swivel wheels roll across thick rugs and hardwood thresholds under full loads. Step down on the wheel locks to keep the rack stationary while you hang freshly ironed shirts.
Bottom wire shelf
The lower platform catches shoe boxes, heavy storage baskets, or bags that would otherwise sit on the floor. It keeps folded bulk organized underneath your shortest hanging jackets.
