What it is on the floor
When a built-in closet runs out of room, clothes end up draped over chairs or crammed onto single hangers. We built this double rod steel rack to carry coats, work shirts, and long hems out in the open. The uprights adjust tall, the crossbars pull wide, and the wheels take the whole run from laundry room to bedroom wall without trouble.
Both hanging rods
The upper and lower rods give you separate levels for shirts and folded pants, with space between so fabric does not bunch. Pull the rod ends outward when extra jackets need to hang.
Height adjustment
Set the uprights higher to keep long winter coats and full dresses clear of the floor. Shorter settings keep everyday tops within easy reach while fitting neatly beneath low bedroom ceilings.
Base and side storage
The lower shelf holds storage bins, folded knitwear, and shoes up off the floorboards. Built-in side hooks catch work bags, belts, and scarves that usually get dropped on dressers.
Casters with foot locks
Swivel casters roll across bare flooring or thin rugs when you need to sort laundry elsewhere. Step on the wheel tabs to park the steel frame firmly against your wall.
