What it is on the floor
When a narrow bedroom has no closet, hanging space has to earn its keep across the floor. We build this rack out of plated chrome steel with an extendable rod and an adjustable frame. Down below, a deep wire basket catches shoes, bags, and folded knits so nothing spills across the floor when you wheel it away.
Adjustable chrome frame
Raise the uprights to give long coats clearance above the base, or shorten the frame for shirts. The top rod pulls outward at the ends when laundry day brings extra shirts to hang.
Deep base basket
Instead of a flat wire tier that lets things slide away, the base forms a walled steel basket. It catches tote bags, folded sweaters, and loose shoes without letting them spill off during a move.
Casters with brakes
Swiveling wheels roll the loaded rack from the laundry room to the bedroom. Step on the brakes once the frame is in position to keep it standing steady against a wall or in an open alcove.
Plated chrome steel
Chromium plating covers the heavy metal tubes and welds, resisting daily scrape from metal hangers. It wipes down easily after rolling through damp laundry spaces or shared hallways.
