What it is on the floor
Shallow closets leave wool coats and formal wear spilling into the room. We built this freestanding rack with steel posts, adjustable rods, and deep shelves to take the overflow. The gray fabric cover zips shut from the floor up, so everything stays out of sunlight and off the carpet.
Zipped dust cover
The heavy fabric cover wraps the steel frame completely to block dust and dim ambient sunlight. Full zippers open the front flap, and roll-up ties hold the door open while you sort through weekly laundry.
Custom rod placement
Set the hanging rods high for floor-length dresses or drop them down to give folded sweaters their own dedicated shelf space. The slip-sleeve locks secure the rods firmly to the corner posts.
Shelves for boxes
Wire shelves across the frame hold storage totes, shoeboxes, and bulky bedding without sagging. The open steel grid lets air move freely around folded denim and season-end coats.
Level feet on uneven floors
Threaded feet underneath the upright posts adjust by hand to steady the frame against uneven floorboards or wide tile grout. The whole unit goes together without tools.
