What it is on the floor
Shallow closets leave winter coats and woolens exposed in bedrooms that need all the floor space they can get. We built this freestanding unit with steel posts, adjustable wire shelves, and hanging rods, then wrapped it in a full fabric cover. Clothes hang behind a zipped front panel instead of gathering dust in the open.
Fabric dust cover
The full fabric wrap encloses the steel frame from top to bottom. Pull the front zipper shut to shield out-of-season coats and linens from drifting dust and daylight, or roll the door panel open on laundry day for quick access.
Straight or corner build
You can assemble the steel framework in a straight run against a bedroom wall or reconfigure the sections into an L shape for an awkward corner. The posts lock together to match how your room actually lays out.
Shelves on slip sleeves
Wire shelves and hanging rods seat onto tapered plastic sleeves along the upright posts. Move shelf levels up or down whenever your storage needs shift between folded sweaters, storage bins, and hanging shirts, without loosening nuts or bolts.
White steel finish
The frame gets a smooth white coating that sits quietly in a bright bedroom, guest room, or shared rental space. The shelves hold heavy storage boxes while the lower wire deck catches folded jeans and shoe bins.
