What it is on the floor
A shallow bedroom closet fills up fast when winter coats come out of storage. We built this freestanding black frame to give full wardrobes an out-of-the-way home along an open wall. Steel rods hold long hems and jackets, while wide shelves take folded knitwear, storage boxes, and shoes behind a zipped front panel.
Enclosed fabric cover
The heavy woven cover pulls down over the top and zips shut down the front. It keeps direct sunlight off shirts and suits, while a clear front window lets you find a specific coat without opening the full curtain.
Rods and open shelves
Hanging rails take shirts, jackets, and long dresses across the frame. Stacked shelves alongside them give flat space for storage bins, folded denim, and spare bedding, keeping entire wardrobes in one footprint instead of scattered across the room.
Adjustable shelf heights
You can shift the shelf heights up or down the black steel posts to fit taller boots below or deep storage boxes above. Side bracing stiffens the corners when the rails are packed tight with heavy woolens.
Tool-free assembly
The frame locks together with snap-on sleeve clips around the posts, so you do not need wrenches or loose bolts to build it. Leveling feet screw into the bottom posts to balance the steel on uneven floorboards.
