What it is on the floor
When a rented room has no closet or the existing one is too shallow, this rolling frame stands in as an entire wall of storage. We build the skeleton from black carbon steel, with open shelves for folded denim and rods for heavy hangers. Roll it across bare floors or lock the wheels when it reaches its corner.
Black carbon steel posts
We use carbon steel finished in smooth black. The upright posts handle heavy winter woolens on the rods alongside stacks of storage bins without relying on wall anchors.
Adjustable rods and shelves
Clip sleeves let you set shelf heights where you need them. Hang long overcoats on one side, drop short jackets over folded sweaters on the other, and slide boot boxes underneath.
Locking caster base
Swivel casters roll the entire loaded frame out from the wall on laundry day. Flip the brake levers down when you want the unit stationary against your bedroom wall or in the hallway.
Slip sleeve assembly
The whole frame locks together with tapered sleeves over the upright posts. You build it without bolts or wall anchors, and it knocks down flat when moving day comes around.
