What it is on the floor
When an apartment comes with a shallow reach-in closet or none at all, this standalone system fills the gap. We build the frame with black powder coated steel, cross braces across the back, and open shelving around the rods. Shirts hang above, trousers hang below, and folded knits stay off the floor.
Double hanging rods
The upper rod carries buttoned shirts and jackets, while the lower rod holds trousers and shorter layers. Splitting the vertical drop gives you room for regular rotations without dragging hems along the bottom shelves.
Storage shelves throughout
Open shelves above and below the hanging sections hold storage bins, folded denim, and bulky bedding. The bottom level keeps work boots and shoe boxes up off the bare floor where dust collects.
Cross braced frame
Thick metal uprights join with diagonal rear bracing to stiffen the unit against heavy winter coats. The smooth black finish wipes clean with a damp rag after a busy week of laundry.
Casters or leveler feet
Thread the smooth rolling casters into the base to glide across hardwood when you clean behind it, then step on the wheel locks. If you prefer a stationary setup, screw in the leveling feet instead.
