What it is on the floor
Small bedrooms rarely leave space for a separate nightstand. We built this twin platform with a deep wooden headboard shelf, integrated power outlets, and built-in lighting to keep phones, alarms, and books right above the pillows. The steel slats support a mattress without any box spring.
Headboard shelf with power
Plugs and ports sit flush against the wood shelf, so phones, tablets, and reading lamps recharge right overhead. The long ledge holds water glasses and alarm clocks where a bulky nightstand cannot fit.
Steel slats with noise strips
Heavy steel crossbars carry your mattress directly without squeaking or shifting through the night. Dense foam strips sit between the metal parts to quiet frame noise when sleepers turn over.
Color controls in the headboard
Tucked into the wooden backboard, the light strip shifts between reading tones and saturated accent colors. You adjust the glow across the wall with the handheld remote or a phone app.
Open floor underneath
The raised frame leaves broad clearance beneath the slats. Storage bins, flat boxes, and backpacks slide under to free up narrow walkways, leaving room for a floor vacuum to pass straight through.
